This car was built at the Volkswagen dealership in Los Angeles California. This was a local Southern California automobile. The car was originally purchased in Huntington Beach, Ca. out of the recycler.

After the 3 year's of restoration it was featured at the Irvine California's Volkswagen Classic. It restored with the family run dealership. We have every receipt from the dealership. This will be included in the sale.

During the restoration several factory NOS parts were tracked down by making request to Germany's last New old stock still at the factory. Several original parts were purchased at obsolete parts back in the 80's. We purchased NOS rear oval glass, NOS factory convertible rail supports from Volkswagen in Germany. I found a flawless 56-57 rear Convertible decklid, the front 4 prong hood is flawless with no kinks. The car has pre 57 Cabriolet rear view mirror with both driver's and the difficult passenger side visor. We located a NOS cardboard trunk wire cover. We installed a Tachometer in the place of the speaker grill accessory, Shifter ashtray accessory through Gary Constatine, restored trip odometer 80MPH. The car was painted with Lacquer paint. At the time of paint the new wiring harness was installed.

Since the initial restoration the car was upgraded to restored HULS recliners with Lenny's West Coast Classic Interior professionally  and door panels fit by Lenny's crew.
