California Title in hand ready to ship worldwide.
This incredible Type III fastback was imported to California and spent most of its life owned by a gentleman in the military. He was stationed in Greece where it was sold as a European delivery for a U.S. military stationed in Greece in 1969.
Full Automatic, Extremely clean, no rust, no accidents.
The original owner started the restoration of this low mile original fastback. He abandoned the car at the point it was almost completed. He was a V.W. nut and engine builder. A great deal of time, money and efforts went into this car. It is now waiting to be started and completed with a tremendous amount done. Most fastbacks have not had this amount of work completed at this level. It was sold to me with the statement of the rebuild of the engine being done directly before the resto began. I have a folder 2.5 inches thick of documents. This fold includes work performed, service booklet stamped, state inspections with mileage stated, dealership reciepts from Clark & Larsson Volkswagen, dealer stamps from Van Wyk VW in Santa Barbara.
The paint and body was completed but it does now have some scratches and nicks now. To make it perfect you would need to block and paint parts of the car. The entire pan and undercarriage is show quality perfect. This is rare to to see a fastback taken to this level. The entire suspension, brakes and lines were sorted. The new tires were installed on matching powder coated rims. Four straight original correct trim rings along with 2 spare rings included. The original caps are included however they need chrome. The car comes with several extra parts. Many parts such as, restored original belt system professionally done, all the seals, all new aluminum trim on body and in window rubber to bring back to stock appearance, properly bagged, all glass minus windshield, all seats and door panels. The car can be purchased with all new interior or without. Inquire now for details.
